Saloon table stand

We wanted to be able to rotate the saloon table without having it sliding down every time we opened the locking screw.

The solution we went with was a tension ring with soft furniture pads.

1. Before the tension ring was attached to the table stand we added some electrical tape to protect the anodized aluminium inorder to avoid scratches.

2. Under the tension ring we added 4 felt furniture feet from IKEA so the clamping ring would rotate softly and as normally, not make and scratches on the aluminium below.

3. We adjusted the height of the table to a comfortable level and everything wa set to go. Now the table can be rotated as we want without having it sliding down every time the lockng screw is opened.

Materials used:

Felt pads from IKEA.

Tensionring WNS 60B (SE: spännring) from MecMove AB, Sweden (click here) and here.
